Grand Tour contender Usoa Ostolaza joins Uno-X Mobility

The Spanish climber has signed a three-year contract with Uno-X Mobility Cycling.
Usoa Ostolaza will join Uno-X Mobility Cycling from the 2027 season, signing a contract through 2029.
The 28-year-old Basque rider has established herself among the strongest climbers and stage racers in the women’s peloton.
After winning the Spanish road race title in 2024 and the Tour Féminin International des Pyrénées in both 2024 and 2025, Ostolaza has taken another significant step this season.
She finished fourth overall at La Vuelta Femenina, third overall at Vuelta a Burgos Feminas and seventh at Itzulia Women. She also won the Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar and finished fourth on Stage 3 of the Tour de France Femmes.
Now, she is ready for a new chapter.
“I feel Uno-X Mobility is the perfect place for me to keep dreaming and growing as an athlete. It is a team with heart, professionalism and ambition,” says Ostolaza.

A rapid rise
Ostolaza came to road cycling relatively late after previously competing in triathlon. She started racing on the road in 2020 and joined Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi the following year.
Her development since then has been remarkable. In just a few seasons, she has progressed from regional racing to competing for the general classification in the biggest stage races in the world.
“The biggest change has been working on the mental side and getting to know myself better, both as a person and as a cyclist,” she explains.
“When you feel at peace and motivated, you have the perfect combination to work hard on the bike and arrive at the races in good shape.”
Head of Sports Anna Badegruber believes Ostolaza’s qualities make her an important addition to the team’s growing group of climbers.
“Usoa will strengthen the climbing group within our team. We have already seen what she can do in the general classification at Grand Tours, but she has also proven herself in hard one-day races,” says Badegruber.
“She is a very strong climber, but also has the punch to compete from a reduced group at the finish. That combination makes her a great addition to our team and fits very well with our ambitions to become stronger in the Grand Tours.”
Grand Tour ambitions
Ostolaza has clear ambitions for her three years with Uno-X Mobility. She wants to continue developing as a stage racer, with a particular focus on improving against the clock.
“I am excited to learn from a different approach to racing, new equipment and new routines. One area I especially want to work on is the time trial, improving my position and learning more about aerodynamics. I believe Uno-X Mobility is the perfect team for that,” she says.
“The Grand Tours will be a major focus, and I want to fight for the best possible result in the general classification. I also believe I can perform well in certain classics that finish with a small group. There are still many things I can improve, and I am very motivated to keep working.”
For Ostolaza, the three-year agreement provides the time and stability to keep building.
“I want to continue enjoying this lifestyle and make the most of the opportunity Uno-X Mobility has given me. With a three-year contract, we can work patiently, improve every season and keep refining the details.”
