Andreas Kron extends with Uno-X Mobility through 2029

The Danish rider commits his future to the team with a contract through the 2029 season.
For Andreas Kron, the decision is built on something simple: he is happy in red and yellow, and he feels that Uno-X Mobility Cycling is a place where things work for him.
“I am happy to be here, and that is why I am extending. I have reached a point in my career where I feel really happy. In my life, and also as a family, I am happy where things work — and that is why I have chosen to extend,” Kron says.
Kron joined Uno-X Mobility ahead of the 2025 season and has become a valuable card for the team in hard, hilly terrain. He arrived with four professional victories, including three WorldTour wins, and has brought experience, race intelligence and quality to the races where repeated efforts and good timing matter.

Feeling at home in the team
The Danish-Norwegian identity of Uno-X Mobility is part of the team’s culture. For Kron, speaking his own language helps — but the most important thing is the people around him.
“I come home with more energy after being away with the team, because I enjoy being on trips with this group. I feel I am a better version of myself, both on and off the bike, by riding here,” he says.
“It helps that you can speak your own language, but I think it is mostly about the people you are with. It feels natural.”
That feeling is also part of why the contract became a long one. Kron has often signed two-year deals in the past, but this time three years felt right.
“I think three years is the new two years. I have had two-year contracts in my career, but now I am happy where things work,” he says.

Thriving when the race gets hard
Kron’s best terrain is often where the race becomes hard to control: short climbs, repeated efforts and open finales where timing matters.
“I like hard climbs and hard days with not too long climbs, but up and down. A hectic race where you have to find the right moment to take your chance,” Kron says.
His 2026 season started strongly, with fifth overall at the Tour Down Under and ninth at Strade Bianche, followed by 10th place at La Flèche Wallonne. He also recently completed Uno-X Mobility’s first Vuelta a España.
The Tour de France remains a clear goal after illness kept him out of the race this season.
“First of all, getting to the Tour. That is one of the big goals I want to achieve. Hopefully, I can also win a stage there,” Kron says.
“We are very happy to extend with Andreas. He is a rider of real quality, and even though he had a slightly difficult 2025 season, he has been good throughout this year, from the Tour Down Under and through the spring. He is a rider we believe a lot in, and we can tell that he feels at home in the team,” says Uno-X Mobility General Manager Thor Hushovd.

Still building
Kron has been part of an important period for Uno-X Mobility, as the team has stepped into the WorldTour and taken on a bigger calendar.
“I think we have done a good job. You can look at the UCI ranking and see that we are in the middle, but I still feel there are things we can improve on,” Kron says.
He points to the team’s willingness to test, learn and adjust as one of the ways forward.
“I think we have a plan, and we go after it. We experiment a lot with training methods, altitude and things like that, and we learn from it. I think that can only take us even higher.”
For Kron, the next years are about continuing to improve and giving himself the best chance to look back with satisfaction.
“I still think there are many good years ahead. But when I look back, I want to know that I did everything to become as good as possible and achieve the results,” Kron says.
