Oda Gissinger commits her future to Uno-X Mobility

One of Norwegian cycling’s most exciting young talents will join Uno-X Mobility from 2027, signing a four-year contract through the end of 2030.
Oda Aune Gissinger only competed in her first road race in 2024. A little more than a year later, she stood on the podium at the Junior World Championships in Kigali after winning bronze in the individual time trial. This year, she returned to the World Championships and continued that progression, finishing 8th in the U23 individual time trial and helping Norway to 7th in the Mixed Relay TTT.
Her breakthrough 2025 season also included two stage victories and the overall title at the Tour de l’Abitibi, victory at GP Plouay Juniors, bronze in the European junior time trial and a European title with Norway in the mixed relay.
“The World Championship bronze last year and this contract with Uno-X are clearly the two biggest surprises. Things have gone far beyond what I expected when I started,” says the ambitious 19-year-old.
“I started cycling because of the genuine enjoyment and sense of achievement it gave me. I would never have dared to dream that I could make a living from cycling only a few years later, and now I am standing on the start line alongside some of my biggest role models. I am looking forward to putting in the work together with Uno-X and seeing what we can achieve.”

A long-term commitment
The four-year agreement gives Gissinger and the team time to develop her abilities without rushing the process. For her, Uno-X feels like a natural place to take that next step.
“I believe the team can give me the support and structure I need to continue developing. It looks like a close and supportive environment, but also one that is not afraid to aim high,” she says.
“Uno-X is a team I have followed and looked up to since before I started cycling, so it is very special to now have the opportunity to become part of it. Sigrid’s stage victory in this year’s Tour de France Femmes also shows that Uno-X can combine development with results at the highest level. I will be joining an environment where I can learn a lot and continue taking steps.”
Gissinger stepped up to the elite ranks with Hitec Products-Fluid Control in 2026 and quickly showed that her junior results could translate to the senior level. She has already claimed two UCI stage victories, winning at the Tour of Vietnam and Tour de Feminin, and finished third at the Pionera Race.
In her Women’s WorldTour debut at Vuelta a Burgos, she spent almost 110 kilometres in the breakaway and took the mountain jersey. Later in the season, she launched a 25-kilometre solo attack at the Tour of Britain and was only caught inside the final five kilometres.
Power and an attacking instinct
Gissinger has established herself as one of Norway’s strongest young time trialists, but both rider and team believe she can develop in several directions.
“I want to become known as a rider who is willing to try. I rarely turn down the opportunity to join a breakaway, but I also want to test my sprint and see what I can do in the hills,” she says.
“I am still young, and I feel I can develop in several different directions. I want to remain curious and learn as much as possible.”
Head of Sports Anna Badegruber believes the long-term agreement will give Gissinger the right conditions to fulfil that potential.
“Oda is one of the rising talents in Norwegian cycling. She has produced some major results at both the World and European Championships, particularly in the time trial. She is already a very strong time trialist, and we see a lot of potential there,” Badegruber says.
“She has the power and ability to sustain a strong effort that could also make her well suited to demanding classics-style races. We believe we can help her grow and build her career step by step over the coming years. We are very happy to welcome such a talented young Norwegian rider to the team.”
For Gissinger, the next chapter is about learning, contributing and discovering how far she can go.
“I am most looking forward to getting to know the other riders and becoming part of the environment around the team. It will feel a little strange, but also very special, to go from watching the team from the outside to actually becoming part of it.”
Only two years after her first road race, Gissinger now has a four-year future in red and yellow ahead of her.
