Danish rider Anthon Charmig will return to Uno-X Mobility Cycling in 2026, having signed a two-year contract running through the end of the 2027 season.
The 26-year-old previously spent three seasons with us, riding first with the development team in 2021, followed by two years on the ProTeam roster. Now, after two seasons competing at the WorldTour level with XDS Astana Team, Charmig returns with added experience and clear ambitions.
During his first stint with the team, Charmig delivered several strong performances — including a stage win and 5th overall at the 2022 Tour of Oman, and 2nd place in the general classification at the Czech Tour later that season. In 2023, he was part of Uno-X’s historic debut at the Tour de France, contributing to a major milestone in the team’s journey.

Charmig highlights the team culture and close relationships as a key factor in his decision:
“What convinced me to rejoin the team was speaking with my former teammates. Hearing that they wanted me back and having them actively reach out made a big impression on me. Joining a team with teammates who want you there means a lot to me.”
Having followed the team closely since his departure, Charmig is now looking forward to returning to familiar surroundings — with renewed ambition:
“I am looking forward to rejoining the team. Over the past two years, I have followed Uno-X’s development and seen the team take one step up after another, and I am confident this will continue,” says Charmig.
“My favourite races are the hilly one-day races – a type of race where the team is really strong, and I am excited to be a part of that.”
Hushovd points to both Charmig’s progression over the past seasons and the team’s performance development as a strong match to help him reach new heights:
"We’ve followed his progress closely, and it’s clear that he’s lifted his level this season. With the performance investments we’ve made, from new coaches to improved systems and support, we believe we can help him reach an even higher level."
"Anthon is a rider we know well — and one we’ve always believed in. He fits naturally into our culture and has the qualities to make a difference in tough races. We’re very happy to have him back."
We’re happy to bring back one of our own. Look forward to having you back with us, Anthon.
